What happens when you don't landmark an area?


Well, this. W. 123 St in Harlem holds a beautiful collection of Neo-Grec and Queen Anne style houses, many recently-renovated. Alas, the current building boom in Harlem resulted in this ugly monstrosity being built right smack in the middle of the block.
